Student Reception

The Nutrition Department has received all male and Female students who are residents at Hostels and served them nutrient meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every three meals cost 12.50 LE.

Overseas Students

Chinese and Polish students have been received, at the Public Service Centre for Arabic Language Education, and have been served nutrient meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner suitable to their desires.

Cleanliness

Cleanliness tasks have been supervised at all restaurants including dining halls and kitchens, so as to have adequate appearance suitable to nutrition processes.

Inauguration

The University  external Restaurant has been inaugurated to serve nutrient meal; lunch, to university students who are not residents at Hostels, from all faculties, according to the numbers reported to the restaurant. It began its work on Sunday, October 24, 2010.

Maintenance

Periodical maintenance has been done to restaurants. It has included painting some restaurants, fixing some ovens and electric devices.

Financial, administrative and technical aspects

Periodical measurements have been done to follow up health reports of all workers at the restaurants, to make sure of its accuracy and validity. These measurements, in addition, have had the purpose of checking shifts, assuring that work is done perfectly by employees, following up receiving committees in receiving nutrient goods, following up financial loans for nutrition in all restaurants.

Achievements of Youth Welfare at University Hostels:

  •  Maintaining physical fitness halls at University Hostels.
  •  Provide football pitches, handball and volleyball courts with equipments at Seberbay University Hostel for male students.
  •  Writing a request note to purchase belts for running machines. Purchasing measurements is being completed.
  •  Announcing two trips; one to Dream Park and the other to Media Production City.
  •  Choosing sport team participating in University Tournament.
  •  Taking part is being done in University Tournament.
  •  Preparing a camp to choose male and female scouts from University Hostels.
  •  Medals, memorial flags are being made and participation procedures are being finished.

Achievements of Financial Affairs:

 

    •  Local Bids for purchasing carpentry tools and instruments, with direct order.
    •  Local bid for purchasing paints.
    •  General bid for supplying food to University Hostels restaurants.
    •  Changing gas pipes via Egypt Gas Company with ‎ payable check, according to settlement and cost estimation of the company.
    •  Printing records and nutrition coupons for resident students at University Hostels.
    •  Purchasing governmental post stamps.
    •  A bid for connecting drinking water pipes to the external restaurant. It is finished.
    •  Purchasing medals and memorial flags. It is in process.
    •  Purchasing envelops and printing documents of coordination office at University Hostels in 2011-2012.
    •  A bid for leveling and tree-planting areas of ground at Seberbay Hostel for male students. It is in process.
    •  Printing records and notebooks for sections and hostels affiliated to the General Administration of University Hostels; Employees Affairs, Nutrition, Accounts, Entitlements, Student Affairs, Financial Affairs …etc.
    •  Providing Engineering Affairs with its needs to make periodical maintenance for all University Hostels sectors, in the field of housing buildings services such as:
    •  Maintenance of bathrooms, water tanks, sewage pipes of University Hostels Restaurants and the external Restaurant: In this respect, all plumbing tools and supplies have been provided by launching a local bid to determine the stock needed to enable the Engineering  administration to make this maintenance.
    •  Electricity maintenance at all University Hostels buildings and Restaurants: In this respect, all electric tools and supplies, needed for periodical maintenance, have been provided. A local bid was launched and stocks, which the Engineering Administration needed to accomplish its tasks, have been made available in order to meet the needs of our dear students.
    •  Maintenance of all carpentry work at University Hostels buildings and restaurants: all carpentry tools needed for making periodical maintenance have been bought. Stocks for this task have been determined by launching a local bid. These stocks have enabled the Engineering Administration to implement its tasks in this regard.
    •  Maintenance of all paint at University Hostels buildings and restaurants: Paint materials have been provided by launching a local bid for buying these materials to provide stocks, which enable the Engineering Administration to implement its tasks and give Hostels a good appearance.
    •  Cleanliness Tasks: All cleanliness tools, floor disinfectants have been provided by launching a local bid for this purpose. Stocks, which enable workers to do cleanliness tasks, have been determined.  In addition the Purchases Administration has provided all urgent requirements of Hostels which need temporary loans and purchasing order, in the limits determined by law No. 89 in 1998 about bids and auctions. Examples of these requirements are equipment chassis, plastic boots for University Hostel Restaurants, drinking water filters for University Hostels, kitchen tools and requirements bought by direct purchasing order, coats and hats for workers at University Hostels restaurants. Here will be mentioned some purchasing bids made in the academic year 2010-2011.
    •  Prints: Different kinds of paper, medicines, purchasing grass, altering water resource, changing Seberbay Hostel ground, electric machines, Laundry and paints.
